Fall2010 - No Way Treat a Lady

Jake and Beta are pretending to be detectives. They are visited by a gorgeous mystery lady named Kran, but what does she need? You'll have to read to find out! Or not...

Third assignment for my computer art class (It's due today actually... I finished just a few minutes ago!). The only requirements in this project was to make a picture entirely out of just black and white (Nothing in between). The one I'm submitting in class is yes, black and white; however, I feel as though sepia is a way better feel for this particular piece. So DA's version is yellowed out and has some texture going on. But originally yes. All black and white.

Most of you probably realized color means a lot to me. I looooove colors galore on my characters and worlds, so this assignment put me in an art block for a while.

Originally this was supposed to be a self portrait drawing (again?) but my teacher said I didn't have to be in it, thus... I'm not. At first I considered a tribal tattoo of Shautek rather than this comic but the teacher felt the comic was closer to my calling. *shrugs* I'll do a tribal Shautek sometime

Jake's accent was dropped in this comic because I didn't think I could keep the same feeling with it.

PS: Does anyone know what movie it is that starts off with "I was sitting in my office... until she walked in?" I have no idea who I'm parodying, only that I hear it a lot o.o
